Role Description The Resident Doctor role is a full-time, on-site position based at United Superspeciality and Trauma Centre in the Pune Division. The Resident Doctor will provide continuous inpatient and emergency care, including initial assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and daily monitoring of patients in wards, ICUs, and trauma units. Responsibilities include documenting clinical notes, ordering and interpreting investigations, performing routine procedures within scope of practice, and responding to medical emergencies under the guidance of senior consultants. The role involves coordinating with nursing staff and other specialties, participating in clinical rounds, and ensuring adherence to hospital protocols and quality standards. The Resident Doctor is also expected to engage in case discussions, maintain accurate records, and support patient and family counseling regarding treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and valid registration with the appropriate medical council.
- Clinical skills in patient examination, diagnosis, basic procedures, and acute care management in hospital settings.
- Ability to work effectively in trauma and emergency environments, including rapid decision-making and prioritization.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and interaction with patients and families.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends, as required for continuous patient care.
- Commitment to medical ethics, patient safety, and adherence to clinical protocols and documentation standards.
- Previous experience as a resident, junior doctor, or in emergency/critical care settings is an advantage.
- Basic proficiency with hospital information systems and electronic medical records is beneficial.
